'Partial Bodies' is a meditation on the relationship between the natural and the digital. Using photogrammetry to generate 3D scans of the artists body, as well as plants and flowers, the work meshes them together to create hybrid forms. The work also explores the female body in nature, specifically through lens of the female gaze. The fragmented body fuses with, hides behind and bursts through the flora to create a complex interplay that references elevated and magical females, such as goddesses, mother nature and nymphs.
Undeniably digital, yet innately organic, the entangled bodies present fragmented forms that reflect the uneasy relationship between the natural and the virtual.
